Scott McKay

Senior Consultant, Environment and Social Acceptability


During his more than thirty years of experience as a leader in sustainable development, Scott McKay has rigorously and convincingly managed, both in Québec and internationally, a number of strategic projects and assumed high level managerial responsibilities. He has been elected   municipal counsellor, head of a provincial political party and Member of Parliament at the Québec National Assembly.

Pragmatic leader motivated by the accomplishment of practical results, Scott McKay is recognized for his integrity and his credibility, particularly when complex projects involving numerous opposing parties are at stake. He masters regulatory, legislative and political challenges.

Mr. McKay is an acute observer of social and economic issues in the environment, energy and natural resources sectors. As such, he is regularly invited as an expert to address various publics and share his views with advisory groups and committees.

Mr. McKay has acted as advisor to the mayors of the Great Lakes and St-Lawrence coastal cities association in projects relating to green infrastructures, hydrocarbons transportation and the fight against climate changes. He has taught management of organisations’ social and environmental responsibilities at both HEC Montreal and École des sciences de la gestion at UQAM.
